Wyandanch Wrestling stands on the shoulders of a rich and often overlooked legacy. The Wolves once produced Suffolk County champions like William Crawford, Russell Jones, and two-time county and state champion Thomas Marrero—athletes who proved that excellence can come from right here in Wyandanch. After the program went dormant for nearly two decades, 2025 marks its long-awaited return, driven by a renewed commitment to opportunity, discipline, and pride.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Dr. Jamel Hudson, Athletic Director Dr. Tyshawn Scarlett, Superintendent Dr. Erik D. Wright, and Assistant to the Superintendent Dr. Christine Jordan, Wyandanch Wrestling is rebuilding with purpose and a clear mission: reclaim our past success, build the next generation of champions, and unite our community through a shared standard of excellence.
